Yesterday we hosted the Star Wars: Armada regionals, and it was a spaceship party like we've never seen! New venue, brilliant event sponsorship from Ultimate Guard (thanks for the new mats and prize support!), and lots of new faces. What more could you want?

New Releases 29/1/18!
Players, welcome back! Lots of new releases to be excited about this week, including a bunch of stuff we've all been waiting ages for.
Warhammer 40,000 isn't slowing down, and I'm starting to suspect it never will. The golden boys are back at the top of the charts for another week in a row, with Vertus Praetor air support and Custodes Wardens taking the Elite infantry slot.
As if that wasn't enough, the Thousand Sons codex is finally here! This is awesome news, the first time the Sons of Magnus have ever had their own Codex, and now they can go toe-to-toe with their Codex-having enemies across the galaxy.
Speaking of galaxies - I'll get the hand of this segue thing soon - Star Wars: Armada gets some much-needed reinforcements. The Profundity and Chimaera expansion packs are finally coming! Just in time for Regionals, which I'm happy to announce, has sold out! It's going to be an awesome day, especially for those of you who bought your tickets in time...
The Star Wars: Destiny LEGACIES Launch Pack and the RIVALS draft kit are both on their way as well. The force is unbelievably strong with these two sets, and we'll be throwing each one their own dedicated event day! More details on that to follow.

New Releases 22/01/18!
Welcome back to the blog, players! While you're here, if anyone has seen where January went, point me in the right direction. It's a complete mystery to me.
Speaking of...
Time for some new releases! Following the success of our foray into board games, we've got some spooky additions. Mysterium was 2016's Game Of The Year in France, and for good reason! Players - some mediums and one ghost - are holding a seance to discover how the ghost met their grisly end, but the ghost can't communicate on this plane, and must guide the mediums with cryptic clues. A must for any fans of Cluedo, the supernatural, or just great games!
Dead Of Winter is our other new offering, featuring a very different sort of undead. The mechanics in this one are really great. A co-operative game on the surface - stay together and survive the zombie breakout, you know the drill - the twist here is that each player generates their own personal agenda. It might fit quite nicely into the group's overall plans, or you might generate an embittered outcast with a grude against the entire colony! Ultimately, the game is won or lost by these personal quests, boosting this game way out of the typical "merry band of survivors" territory. You don't have to be the fastest, just faster than the slowest! You can order Dead of Winter here.
When you want something completely different, you never have to look further than Cardfight!! Vanguard. The latest offering from the planet of Cray (yes, really!) is The Awakening Zoo. We've previewed the set, we love it, and you can order it here! I think the art in particular is some of the best I've seen from C!!FV - is January the month you take the Vanguard plunge?
Finally, we look to the grim darkness of the far future. For once, there's a light at the end of the tunnel, and it's ten thousand massive gold terminators! Codex: Adeptus Custodes is here, the first time such a publication has ever existed in 30 years of Warhammer 40,000, and there has been a hype-storm around them like you wouldn't believe. With good reason! The Emperor's finest are a real force to be reckoned with, combining the absolute best of martial prowess and wargear.
As seems to be the standard for new Codices, this one comes with a new special character. Trajann Valoris is the new man to watch, as the golden legion marches forth. Don't miss out!

New Year, New Games!
The first releases of 2018 are upon us! Fans of Netrunner and Dragon Ball, rejoice!

Players, we've done it! We've made it nearly all the way through 2017. Now it's time to congratulate yourselves and look to the future, and all the good things the new year will bring...
Dropping out of hyperspace right at the end of 2017 comes a treat for our Star Wars: Armada players. The Profundity and Chimaera expansion packs bring Admirals Thrawn and Raddus into play, giving much-needed foresight and unmatched manoeuvring to your fleets, as well as some truly impressive capital ships. Expect to see these two in action at the Armada Regionals, hosted by JustPlay!
The Star Wars hype-shuttle shows no signs of slowing as we enter 2018, bringing us the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Legion! Perhaps the most exciting Star Wars tabletop game yet, Legion gives you command of squads of infantry, devastating speeders and walkers, and iconic characters from a galaxy far, far away. Fight the legendary battles from your favourite Star Wars stories and beyond! The Core set is released in late January, with a raft of expansion packs coming in the following weeks. Check out some of the game's mechanics here - we can't wait.
Another big release in January is the second and final set in Magic: The Gathering's Ixalan block! Rivals of Ixalan continues the storyline of powerful forces converging on the ancient city of Orazca and joining battle. The City's Blessing is this set's special mechanic (that we know of!) and gives powerful bonuses to whomever is granted it. We've also heard whispers of Elder Dinosaurs - the first non-dragon Elder cards ever made!
With all this in mind, you'd have to be a goblin to miss our Rivals of Ixalan prerelease event and Draft Weekend! Get involved!
Speaking of prereleases, Cardfight!! Vanguard is back in a big way with The Awakening Zoo. It's always nice not to need a spellcheck on a CFV title, isn't it? We'll have sneak preview packs and an event to go with them!
Last but not least, the Dragonball Super Card Game will be with us on 11th January. There isn't much information circulating yet, but we know that characters from across all the Dragon Ball franchises will make appearances, including Super Saiyan Son Guku and Golden Frieza. Deck Leaders also have an "awaken" feature, sending their power level rocketing upward - but only when your own health gets critically low! Sounds like Dragon Ball at its finest and most dramatic to us.

It's that time of year, players. The seven days of Christmas roll ever onwards! Let's see what delights await you for a last-minute present. Or perhaps a reward for all the presents you've bought/asked Santa for already. You deserve it.
Speaking of the number 7, and large jovial father-figures, we've got new models from Papa Nurgle! A Myphitic Blight Hauler and a new face: Lord Felthius and the Tainted Cohort. They're in Games Workshop's popular Easy To Build range - perfect to whack together in between bastings and eggnogs.
No force of Chaos is complete without a nice righteous enemy, so we're also adding Easy To Build Aggressors and Redemptor Dreadnought for your heroes of the Imperium.
Ultimate Stride is here for Cardfight!! Vanguard. New cards for tons of clans, rereleases of iconic cards and a whole new rarity value, ZR. What??
