New Releases 2/4/18

Ash Gavin

Players, it's that time again. While you're munching through your chocolate eggs, praising whoever it is you praise and frolicking in the sun (mileage may vary), feast your eyes on this week's new releases!

Magic: The Gathering players, something very cool is coming. This week is the advent of the Challenger Decks! Pre-constructed, fully standard-legal decks, competitive right out of the box? Sounds too good to be true! Luckily for us, it's not. Tried-and-tested deck concepts Hazoret Aggro, Vehicle Rush, Counter Surge and Second Sun Control will be available from Monday. All you have to do now is decide which one can outpace the others... Decklists are available HERE

Due to the extremely awesome and limited nature of these boxes, each of you will be able to buy only one of each deck, and we're only selling them in-store. They're designed specifically to enhance the Friday Night Magic experience of Standard players, and that's how we plan to keep it. You can still pre-order yours if you pop into the shop - we're waiting for you!

Now, I have a sin to confess. While this blog post is supposed to educate, inform and excite you lot about new releases, I'm going to keep the next one all to myself. Even if I bring something like this upon myself...

Warhammer 40,000 players, scream if you want to go faster: the Drukhari are coming! If I wanted you to play them I might tell you about the ability to take three different warlords in your army. I might talk about D6 damage blasters and blast pistols, or Wyches' invulnerable save now working in every phase, or the Stratagems that let you cancel enemy stratagems or fire freely into combat. Maybe the can-opener potential of a flock of Hellions attacking at Strength 7, 2 Damage?

These are the things I'd tell you about if I wanted you to buy the unbelievable value Start Collecting Drukhari box, or the achingly cool new Codex. But I don't. I want 100% of Games Workshop's Drukhari output to come directly to me, personally, because that's how good I think they are.

But perhaps you disagree! If you think you can stand against the might of the Kabals and Cults, not to mention all our other 40k players, why not come and take on our NaughtyK event on the 14th of April? 2,000 points of ITC Warhammer 40,000 goodness. Put your models where your mouth is!

That'll do for now. 'Til next time, prey species!

Uh, players. I mean players.
