JustPlay is Liverpool's home for tabletop gaming — card games, miniatures, board games and the community that lives around them. We're looking for a Store Manager to lead our small, close-knit team, keep the shop running to a high standard, and help our players and customers have the best possible experience every time they walk through the door.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely loves this industry. You'll set the tone on the shop floor, look after the team, and take ownership of the day-to-day running of the store. Full training will be provided on our systems and processes — but the people skills, the standards and the passion need to be yours from day one.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the team — managing, motivating and supporting our staff, organising rotas and making sure everyone's set up to do great work.
• Running the shop floor — welcoming customers, answering gaming and general queries, and keeping the store friendly and welcoming.
• Events management — planning and running in-store gaming events, tournaments and league nights.
• Standards & presentation — keeping the store spotless and beautifully merchandised to a consistently high standard.
• Stock & operations — stock maintenance, inventory, till operation and the general day-to-day running of the store.
• Customer experience — making sure every visit feels welcoming, helpful and worth coming back for.

What we're looking for (essential)

• Experience managing people — you've led a team before and you're confident supporting, motivating and getting the best out of others.
• Real attention to detail — nothing slips through the cracks.
• High standards of cleanliness & presentation — you take pride in a spotless, well-kept store.
• A deep, genuine passion for our industry — you actively play multiple games yourself and bring real, current knowledge of trading card games and wargames such as Warhammer. This is vital to the role.
• Events management — comfortable planning and running in-store events.
• Friendly, approachable & reliable — great with people, punctual, and someone we can count on.
• Excellent written English and basic computer skills.

Nice to have (not essential)

• Retail experience, including inventory management.
• Social media, or media production skills (photo/video editing, streaming, podcasting).
• Technical troubleshooting know-how.
• A full driving licence and own vehicle.
