Modern & Pioneer League Round 3

Thanks to everyone who joined in the the Modern, Pioneer and of course Commander Leagues over the last 8 weeks.

Commander is going from strength to strength with around 30 players every week taking part and over 100 unique players in the league.

Pioneer is getting better and better and becoming the format of choice for people want to play 1v1 60 card decks. Tough period for modern we have a massive community of players so we hope to see a return to play this season.

Winning our Pioneer League this season was Marco Vay taking home £72 and runner up was Christian Smith was a runner up with £36 Congratulations.

Changes Review

We will not be making any changes to the format this season but would like to confirm a few parts.

No roll down to outside of top 8 for no shows
Top 8 highest rank choose to play or draw

How the Leagues Work

Leagues will be 8 weeks long with the 9th week being the League Grand Final, inviting the top 8 players to play a 3 round Swiss Tournament. The top 4 players from this event will take home a cut of the League Prize Pool.

Every game you win or draw adds points to your league score, 3 for a win 1 for a Draw. The top 8 ranked players will be invited the the final (random if tied)

Entry each week will be £6 with £3 Store Credit each player going into the League Prize pool and £3 Store Credit for that nights prizes.

The winner of the League Final will take 50% of the prize pool, 2nd 25%. 3rd & 4th 12.5%
