The Justice Series: Warhammer Age of Sigmar Tournament (18-12-21)
Welcome back to the Justice Series!
This will be a one day, 24-player, 3-game Age of Sigmar tournament of 2000 point pitched battles.
We will use the Battle Pack from the General's Handbook 2021 along with the Realm Rules, Region of War: The Ghurish Heartlands.
You will play 3 rounds, each using a different battleplan from the General's Handbook 2021. The battleplan will be announced at the start of each round.
Game Win/Loss is the main metric for scoring and pairing, with tiebreakers in the following order: points scored, Battle Tactics completed, Grand Strategies completed, Strength of Schedule.
We have updated our painting rules to allow people more flexibility as they start collecting and painting a army with scoring to represent this. It is not about having excellent painting, just a standard we can all achieve. If you don't have a painted army that's fine too - but you will miss out on some scoring and therefore are unlikely to place highly.
Minimum standard is all models fully assembled on the correct size base and undercoated: NO grey plastic.
Painted: 10pts – Your army has been painted with a minimum of 3 Colours and has a Wash or Dry brush applied (or other suitable form of extra detail).
Based: 5pts – Bases (clear flying bases excluded) have some form of texture.
Cohesive Scheme: 5pts – All models look like they all belong to the same Army.
Cast a vote for Best Army (see below): 5pts.
We do of course want to reward the exceptional painting in the community. During the first round the TO will nominate a number of armies for the Best Army award. If you're nominated, you should display your army in the indicated place during the lunch break after round 1. During that break each player should cast a vote for the army they think looks the best. It's an important part of the event, so casting a vote gets you 5 tournament points in the same way as painting your own models. The winner of the most votes receives a £10 Justplay voucher. In case of a tie, the tiebreaking vote lies with the TO.
Doors Open 10am
Start Time 10:30am
3 Rounds of 2h45 minutes each, with a 30 minute break after the first game.
Expected finish time 7:30pm
The round timer will be on display along with regular timing updates from the TO. Players should endeavour to play an equal number of turns in the allotted time where possible; when time on the round is called you will have 5 minutes to submit your result before the TO will decide and submit your results. Repeated failure to submit a result could result in point deductions or removal from the event.
You can sign up and submit your army to https://tabletop.to/justice-series-revenge-of-the-1dayer

Exiled from their clans due to their general all round flash gittiness, these Orks pride themselves on having the biggest, loudest, shootiest dakka going, and don't waste an opportunity to show it off. They inevitably join up with the Freebooterz and and sell their services to whichever...
Into the Grimdark: Beginners' 40K Tournament (12/12/2021)
Welcome to all our new Warhammer 40,000 players and academy graduates! If you don't consider yourself a new player, please attend one of our other tournaments for more experienced players instead!
This event will be two extended rounds of 2000 point games, using Swiss pairing (meaning winners from a round will normally play other winners in the next round)
If there are Covid restrictions on the day, you may be sorted into a pod of players upon registering, and you'll play all of your games within that pod. Otherwise, you could be drawn against anyone across the event.
Registration will open at 10am and the first game will begin at 10.30am sharp!
We're aiming for this to be a teaching experience to introduce players to a tournament atmosphere without fear of coming up against top-tier players!
In the spirit of preparing you for competitive play, we will be using full Matched Play rules with missions picked from the Chapter Approved 2021 Strike Force missions.
Your TO on the day won't be offering any coaching or advice, but will be on hand to answer any and all gameplay questions, so don't hesitate to ask for clarification on anything at all! We'll also take a few moments before each round begins to talk through that round's mission.
The ticket price includes £5 store credit for each player, and a trophy for the winner. The best painted army, as voted by the players, also receives £5 store credit.
Your army list must be submitted to the event before midnight on Tuesday before the event. This gives us time to check over them! It must include your units with points and wargear options, your Warlord, Warlord Trait, and any psychic powers and relics.
Once you have your ticket, you can sign up for the event on https://tabletop.to/beginners-40k. This is where the pairings and scoring are recorded, so it's very important that you do this!
Our painting requirement for this event is nil - all we ask is that your models are fully assembled, on the correct size base and have all the correct gear modelled on them to avoid any confusion.
This box is absolutely packed with righteous fury, as the unmistakable Imperial Fists successor Chapter puts the ‘grim’ into grimdark and gets tooled up for the latest edition of Warhammer 40,000.*
Containing 13 miniatures, 12 of which are available for the first time in this very box, this is the perfect place to start a Black Templars army or build on your existing force. Leading the charge is the stunning new Emperor’s Champion, and ensuring that the correct vows are uttered and devotions followed is a Marshal.
These Space Marine heroes are supported by a Primaris Crusader squad, featuring four Neophytes, five Initiates, and a Sword Brother decked out with holy wargear. And for those heretics who prove tougher to purge with flamer, bolter, and blade, there’s also a Redemptor Dreadnought packing some seriously heavy firepower.
Inside the box, you also get a Black Templars transfer sheet containing 226 decals to deck out your Space Marines with the requisite symbols of zealotry and piety.
The Army Set offers you an opportunity to get an early copy of Codex Supplement: Black Templars, which has an exclusive cover featuring John Blanche’s stunning artwork from the third edition of Warhammer 40,000.
This 80-page book contains all the rules and lore you need to get started with the Black Templars. Within its pages are Battle-forged rules that cover Templar Vows and Passions, new Stratagems, wargear, Relics, and a bumper Crusade section – very fitting for the questing knights whose crusade is already eternal.
Last but by no means least, there’s also a handy deck of Black Templars datacards, covering your core Stratagems, bespoke Stratagems, and your Templar Vows.
Kamala Khan was once a normal Pakistani-American girl in New Jersey who had an obsession with the career of Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Captain Marvel. When she was a teenager, a cloud of Terrigen Mists fell on the Jersey Shore, and she was accidentally exposed. When she awoke from Terrigenesis, Kamala discovered she had morphogenetic power that allowed her to alter her appearance, regenerate from injuries, elongate her body, and alter her mass at will. Out of respect for her hero, Kamala took up the mantle of Ms. Marvel. She adds her strength to groups of heroes like the Avengers and Champions, where her idealist attitude and encyclopedic knowledge of heroes comes in handy... not to mention the smackdown of her embiggened fists.
Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor is one of Tony Stark’s crowning achievements, a machine created to attempt the impossible: contain a raging Hulk. It is among the most substantial armored suits devised by Tony Stark. While lacking the versatility and agility of other armors, this heavy-duty protection has maximum force augmentation designed to allow the wearer to survive prolonged melee combat with a force as strong as an out-of-control Hulk. Its hardened carbon-composite plating and integrated anchoring system enable the wearer to withstand several punches from an enraged Hulk while the magno-hydraulic pseudo-musculature can lift 175 tons. It is the ultimate weapon in Stark’s arsenal that he brings on the field to deal with the biggest and most dangerous threats the Avengers have to face.
Appointed as leader of the legendary Valkyrior by Odin, Brunnhilde defied the All-Father’s wishes by leaving Asgard to join the Avengers. Since that day, she has dedicated herself to the defense of Midgard as the valiant Valkyrie!
As a member of the mighty Valkyrior, Valkyrie charges into battle in this expansion pack, which introduces her as a brand-new playable hero along with her sixteen signature cards. With a pre-built Aggression deck ready to go, you can take a stab at Valkyrie’s dueling-focused gameplay from the moment you open the box. With strong attacks and plenty of stat boosts, this is one Asgardian that you won’t want to mess with!
