Applicable over light and dark basecoats, additional coats will increase smoothness and opacity of finish. The paints come in 17 ml bottles with included agitator balls, and a dropper cap. During battle, communication between a commander and their troops is extremely important. Many great battles have been won and lost because one side was able to more-effectively utilize its resources because of superior communication. Banners have been used for centuries as a communication technique. When the Iron Throne is on the line, every detail matters.

Th Deluxe Activation Banner set gives commanders an easy way to keep track of which of their units have activated and which are left to go. The set contains 10 premium plastic banners, each attached to a 30mm base. The banners can be placed next to a unit to show that it has activated, or on its unit Stat Card. When the unit starts taking casualties, the banner easily fits into a space on the unit’s movement tray.

As formidable as the Direwolves of House Stark, the Hrakkars, white lions from across the sea, are dangerous when out in their natural habitat. It takes great skill to kill one, but the true test of a khal is to actually subdue, capture, and tame one of these majestic beasts. If this mighty task is accomplished, the Dothraki gain a new weapon in war that is nearly unmatched in combat. The Dothraki Hrakkars box set for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives House Targaryen players a fierce animal warrior and its handler for their armies. The lion and its handler work as one, using fangs, claws, and blades to slash their enemies to pieces. Even enemies clad in heavy armor have much to fear from these foes. They are also master ambush hunters, able to suddenly strike from where the enemy least expects it.

The next unit the Targaryens get is a unit of Dothraki Outriders. While the Screamers were the melee-centric unit for the starter set, the Outriders are its ranged troops. They have taken the art of horsemanship to an entirely new level. Like all cavalry, they get a free Maneuver action when they activate.

However, their Nimble rule makes them even quicker. It allows the Outriders to Shift 3” before making a Ranged Attack (as opposed to the usual 2”), and they can also make another 3” Shift after they attack. So, even though their Shortbows only have Short Range, they can still attack an enemy up to 15” away from where they started their turn, then move hopefully back out of retaliation range afterward.

An interesting thing about this unit is that they have absolutely no Melee attack at all. So, having that ability to shift away is certainly going to come in handy, as Targaryen commanders will need to make sure to not get this unit stuck in Melee.

Overview

Lightly armored, very maneuverable and with a solid attack value, the Dothraki Screamers are a great choice to bolster your ranks with versatile and relatively inexpensive cavalry. Outmaneuver and surprise you opponents with your Dothraki hoard!

Tactical Points

• With a 6” movement speed and the Cavalry special rule, Dothraki Screamers are great for Charging enemies in the Flank or Rear.
• Their relatively low cost (6 points) for cavalry means that you can field many of them providing your opponent with hard decisions.
• Be careful! For what these irate horsemen have in teeth, they lack in hide. If they get stuck in battle for long, they will make for easy targets.

The Free Folk are often framed as simple savages by those that live further south. In many instances, that evaluation is wrong. While the Free Folk don’t harbor the trapping of much of civilization, they are not simply savages. The Cave Dwellers, though… they are simply savages. The Cave Dweller Savages Unit Box gives Free Folk commanders a new option on the battlefield. While the unit is armed simply with scavenged weapons they’ve found along the way to the battle, and are clothed in not much more than ratty old skins, they are still fearsome on the field, wading into combat with wild abandon. To further their fury, there is the Cave Dweller Alpha Unit Attachment, who can enhance the combat prowess of any unit they join.

Every House requires troops of all types in the wars that happen throughout Westeros. Allied with House Greyjoy, House Ironmaker’s heaviest are the ones that bear their name, the Ironmakers. They wear heavy scale armor over boiled leather, letting them turn most blows aside. Though not as heavily armored as some of House Baratheon or Lannister’s forces, they still form a strong center for any battle line. The Ironmakers Unit Box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game give House Greyjoy players a heavy infantry unit around which they can form the rest of their army. Their tough armor does them well on the battlefield. However, it’s their ability to quickly grab loot from fallen foes that set them apart. The unit only gets more defensive as they destroy opposing units. Any foes that break on them like waves on the shoreline will only further fuel the Ironmaker’s might.

A Dothraki is effectively born in the saddle. From the earliest age, they learn to ride, becoming the greatest horsemen in the land. After many battles, these horsemen have honed their skills to perfection. Their mastery of swordsmanship, archery, and riding is surpassed by none. In combat, they are a triple threat of strength, speed, and range. The Dothraki Veterans unit box gives House Targaryen players a multi-faceted new threat to add to their armies. These warriors have trained their abilities to the max, able to perform attacks at range and in close combat. When attacking with their shortbows, they can follow it up with a devastating charge. However, the Dothraki eschew heavy armor, so a good commander will make sure the Veterans are in and out of combat before an enemy has a chance for a retaliatory strike.
