The gravity manipulation weapons employed by Germany have the ability to alter localised gravity, crushing targets under their own weight, our rapidly altering the gravity in a small space. This can cause rapid failure of mechanical parts and the aftershocks can disrupt a targets ability to operate for a significant time.

The ability of the weapon’s energy field to manipulate gravity is linked to the target’s mass, making the weapon more effective against bigger and heavier targets.

This has led to more of these weapons being employed on the Eastern Front than the in the west, to counter the heavy Soviet walkers and tanks.

The most fanatical and loyal soldiers within the ENR forces are trained and equipped along the same lines as the German Shocktroopers.

They receive the best equipment and training but are expected to spearhead any counter-attacks against an Allied breakthrough along the Gustav Line.

Legio Aquila in Konflikt'47

Styled after the ancient Romans, the Legio Aquila combines patriotic fervour, dogged resilience, and aggressive tactics to achieve its goals. Led by experienced NCOs and officers, the effectiveness of the Legion is only hampered by its small size and limited mobility.

Through a combination of espionage, scientific exploitation of prisoners, and defecting scientists, the Soviet Union gained substantial knowledge of the German super-soldier and genesplicing programmes and produced its own versions of DNA enhanced soldiers. In an effort to make soldiers immune to the cold, a method of making monsters out of men was discovered. With a form of anti-freeze in their veins, these ‘ghouls’ are immune to cold and fire and have a freezing touch that can cause immediate damage.

These fast fanatical nightmarish creatures can cause havoc in amongst your enemies lines, move up fast (don't worry about flame weapons as they're immune) to take advantage of their combat prowess!

The Soviets developed a weapon utilising Ursine DNA to create an 8ft tall man/bear hybrid that could go toe-to toe with any enhanced infantry on the battlefields of 1947. Powerful, but lacking control, the Ursus soldiers were often unleashed in highly contested areas of the battlefield to tip the balance of favour towards the Soviet army.

In Konflikt '47

The Ursus are nearly unbeatable in combat, both tough and strong, they'll be able to hack down any enemy troops foolish enough to stand in their way. Give them supporting fire so they can advance unhindered or use a transport (a standard truck can carry 5 Ursus infantry) as an ideal way of getting this death squad in amongst the enemy front line. Let havoc ensue!

The T-34 was one of the best medium tanks pre-rift but now as most of them lie in ruins, the need for the armour symbol of Stalin has made a return. Using the ever so reliable chassis of T-34, rift scientists outfitted a new breed of tank by creating the Zvukovoy Proeyektor. Blasting entire platoons on sight the T-34/ZP with its shockwave ensures it remains the ruler of the medium tank class.

n a rush to keep up with their foes, Soviet infantry armour was developed quickly and put into use not long after their rivals. Cumbersome and bulky, the Soviet suits lack subtlety, but their effectiveness is not disputed. Unlike other nations, the Soviet heavy infantry is considered more of an anti-vehicle unit.

Slow but resilient with a duel weapons system these are some of the hardest hitting infantry in combat today. A true centre anvil for the hammer to fall upon and crush the motherlands foes...

As most nations began adopting heavily-armoured infantry, the British took a more extreme view. With automatons providing close fire support to the infantry, it was decided that any armoured troops should be capable of providing a punch beyond that of current infantry. Therefore the British developed the Galahad Armoured Suits, intended to overwhelm opposition strong points. Although limited in number, careful and considered use has meant they have a growing and largely victorious reputation.

These Troops are large, tough, and resilient infantry ideal for bolstering a weak point in defences or spearheading a break through attack!

In order to test new equipment and technology coming from the UK’s Rift-tech labs and workshops, the 7th Bn Grenadier Guards were seconded to the Rift Research Department in order to provide troops to trial new equipment and technology. Once initial trials were completed, platoons of the Battalion would deploy forward to test the equipment on the front line, often to the benefit of the infantry they were supporting, but occasionally proving a project a disappointing failure.

Over the past two years, the Battalion has developed a greater understanding of the weaponry at its disposal and is now considered an elite shock unit as much as an R&D unit. This, of course, fits nicely with the role the Grenadiers and the Guards Division has played in the British Army’s history.

Although technically still part of the Guard’s Division, the unit is often referred to as The Grenadiers, or more recently, the Rift Grenadiers.

In a bid to utilise more Rift-technology in enhanced combat power, a relatively minor line of development inadvertently spawned the Meteor Rocket and subsequently its tank-mounted launcher. The discovery of a metal degrading enzyme that could rapidly degrade armour plate led Britain’s Rift-tech scientists to develop a ceramic-tipped rocket that could be launched from a multiple launcher against heavily armoured targets.

The rockets worked best when fired in a staggered wave, being able to strike the target with multiple rounds, as the enzymes quickly turned the armour brittle and fragile in preparation for the next incoming round. An armour-piercing core to the rounds would then penetrate the hull and disable the target’s crew.

With a large variety of weaponry and heavily armoured chassis, the Churchill meteor is certainly a threat to any army. As a result, the enemy will heavily target it, either through combined targeted fire or outflanking it. To keep this from happening ensure your Churchill is supported on the flanks with infantry or weapon teams and keep a solid firing line.

These mechanical monstrosities tower over the average soldier, this allows them to bear heavy machine guns with little penalty. Used to spearhead assaults or guard rear-flanks, these are mainly used for casualty heavy missions. The ideal solider to counter all of the British Empire threats, and to protect the British solider on the front-line.

After the impact the first Rift-tech has on the battlefield, neither side is under any illusion of the importance of exploiting the material they are receiving. The US step up their efforts and bring in many leading British scientists in an effort to beat the Axis powers in this new arms race.

Automated Infantry can act like mobile machine gun teams, being able to equip an heavy machine gun and support any unit with a huge volley of fire. Whilst individually tough, each casualty will hurt so ensure they are behind cover or give them appropriate support.

The Automated Infantry are capable of carrying considerable firepower, these 10 ft tall automatons can be used to spearhead assaults and defend rear-guards, protecting the British solider from these dangerous and casualty-heavy tasks.

The Rift-tech advances to Alan Turing's early computers have allowed British scientists to create a very rudimentary but effective AI, capable of carrying out orders and reacting to stimulus around it.

Coming with MMGs standard on their profile, the bare minimum number of automatons can dish out 8 shots together which can certainly keep any wary squad on its toes. Take 5 of these and you are looking at 20 shots from this squad alone, no need for an army if you have two squads of these tin soldiers advancing relentlessly into the enemies ranks!

The directed energy weapons conceived and developed by Nikola Tesla have had an immediate impact on the battlefield. Even heavily-armoured vehicles are vulnerable to electricity and with a dispersion setting, squads of infantry can be attacked just as easily.

Whilst relatively short ranged and bulky, they are effective against both vehicles and infantry, which makes them popular with the tank crews that use them. Tactically the glow of the Tesla Cannon’s coils makes ambushes and fighting at night difficult, but the psychological effect of the electrical arcs on enemy soldiers is worth the side effects.

The Cromwell tank, officially designated as the Tank, Cruiser, A27M, has proven to be one of the most successful Commonwealth armoured vehicles. Developed as a cruiser tank, it prioritized a balance of speed, firepower, and manoeuvrability, embodying the Commonwealth doctrine of using 'cavalry' tanks for rapid, mobile warfare with direct support for troops provided by slower 'infantry' tanks. Originally armed with a 75mm gun, many Cromwells have been retrofitted with a Tesla cannon to make it relevant in the new era of warfare.

The advent of Rift-technology has allowed Japan to close the gap in some areas. Although increasing industrial capacity hasn’t been easy, the study of the Rift messages provided by Germany has allowed Japan to create a family of rapid firing compression weapons.

This box contains:

• 1 plastic, resin & metal Japanese Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank suitable for Konflikt ‘47 Japanese Army
• Full-colour waterslide decal sheet
• A detailed construction leaflet

As Japan’s Rift-tech scientists developed the first of these cannons, the Chi-Ha chassis with the larger Shinhoto turret was used as a test bed for the earliest weapon trials, which in turn led to a compression cannon-armed variant entering service in late 1946. Equipped with either a 47mm anti-tank gun or the rapid firing light compression cannon the Type 97 Chi-Ha has proved capable of competing against heavier Allied tanks.

Granted access to the mass of Axis Rift-tech development, Japanese scientists were able to make significant advances in new areas of technology. One such field was that of exoskeletons intended to enhance the endurance and speed of the fighting soldier. This rapidly led to the development of armoured battle-exoskeletons that were first deployed by the Imperial Japanese Army in mid-1946. These ‘battle-frames’ enable the wearer to move freely whilst carrying heavier loads and some protective armour.

Mounting either an SMG or a Shiboru rifle, most squads also utilise LMGs for additional firepower, or their own version of the German Panzerschreck to counter enemy armour.

This set includes enough models to field two units, armed with a variety of weapon options including Shiboru Rifles - if taken this will mean the unit generates one Rift die. Note: this product was previously known as Japanese Battle Exoskeleton Squad.

'Assault-frame' armour was based on the earlier 'battle-frames' in response to demands for a modified frame specially adapted for close quarters fighting. 'Assault-frame' squads are armed with weapons geared towards close range, mounting an SMG and close combat blade forged with a hardened compound derived from Rift-science, which the soldiers take pride in mastering to a fearsome level of proficiency.
