Justplay is proud to announce it's newest Commander event: Guardian

A unique on two headed giant with players assigned into teams with one acting as the "Guardian" and the other the "Ward" much in the spirit of a mother dragon protecting her young. 

As long as the guardian player exists within the game the ward player is immune to any damage and life loss effects originating from the other team (and cannot gain life in any way), they also cannot be directly targeted by any effect from the opposing team. Board wide effects such as discard or draw will still take effect as normal and the Ward players board is still available to target.

Players will be assigned as random pairs at the start of the event

Other rules will be unveiled on the day as to not spoil the surprise but none will affect decks allowed so bring whatever you think is best! 

This is a casual event aimed at remaining fun while playing the game in a unique way so our turn 7 rule will be in effect. 

Event Rules

- WotC banlist will be in effect for standard commander

- Any queries about the event please email the store with a "FAO Liam" and we will get back to you as soon as possible

- Points will be awarded for winning games throughout the day along with announced ploys at set times throughout each round. 

- A Justplay staff member will be available for both Ruling calls and general queries throughout the day 

Prizing

Every player will get a set booster on entry and Justplay will but 1.5 into the prize pool to be distributed among the top 3 players at the end of the day

A bonus prize will also be available for the best "Team Play" of the day, judged by one of our staff members
